Step 1
The fastest and financially expensive way to Veliky Ustyug is by plane. Every day a plane "Moscow - Veliky Ustyug" of the airline "Severstal" takes off from the Vnukovo airport. The liner travel time is 3 hours 10 minutes.
Step 2
Unfortunately, there is no direct train from Moscow to Veliky Ustyug. Therefore, you have to travel with a change or in a trailer car. If you are getting there with a change, then you need to take the long-distance train "Moscow - Vorkuta", which leaves twice a week from the Yaroslavl railway station of the Russian capital. You have to get off at the Yadrikha station. Then take the bus number 25, which goes along the route "Yadrikha - Veliky Ustyug". Travel time will take about 20 hours in total.
Step 3
According to the second option, it is necessary to get into the trailed carriage of the long-distance train "Moscow - Kotlas". At the Yadrikha station, the carriage will be attached to the local train, which will reach the Veliky Ustyug stop.

There is an option to get to Veliky Ustyug by bus. To do this, you need to take one of the two regular flights "Moscow - Veliky Ustyug", which leave from the Yaroslavsky railway station. Travel time along not the best route and along many narrow roads will be at least 30 hours.

As for traveling by car, here you need to think several times: the track is very difficult, the road surface in many places leaves much to be desired. First you need to go to the M8 Kholmogory highway and move through Sergiev Posad, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Rostov and Yaroslavl. After that, again along the M8 "Kholmogory" highway, go to Vologda, and from there follow the signs to follow the road through Totma to Veliky Ustyug. This journey will take the traveler at least 28 hours.
