Step 1
If it happened that the suitcase broke or the handle broke during the trip, for example, on an airplane or when exiting a train, you can try to fix the damage with the help of improvised means. Pull the torn suitcase tight with tape, strap or rope, you can also just wrap it with tape. This will be enough for a while. Wrap the broken handle with tape or electrical tape in several layers so that it lasts at least some time.

To avoid such problems, follow the rules for using the suitcase. Do not load more than 20 kilograms into it, try not to hit it on anything, carefully remove the suitcase from the train or luggage compartment.

Returning home, walk through the repair organizations of the city. Shoe shops or specialized organizations may be able to fix the breakdown of your suitcase. The renovation will be expensive, so consider just buying a new suitcase.

If your suitcase is very expensive and you do not want to part with it, find spare parts for it. They can be bought in workshops, in sporting goods (especially wheels), in markets. If you haven't found anything suitable, the last resort is to buy a very cheap Chinese suitcase on the market and remove the necessary parts from it.

Remove the broken parts (handles, locks, wheels) from the suitcase and install purchased with rivets or screws. Apply a patch of a material similar in color and structure to the torn fabric or leather, sewing it on with a special needle and coarse threads.

Don't be mean. From the very beginning, you need to remember that if you bought a cheap suitcase, it will last you no more than one or two trips. But you can immediately choose an expensive, convenient thing for which a guarantee against any breakdowns is provided. In this case, it will be possible to present a warranty card and the suitcase will be repaired at the expense of the company.
