Magnitogorsk is one of the largest cities in the Chelyabinsk region, which is not only Russian, but also the world center of ferrous metallurgy. Unfortunately, there is no direct railway connection from the Northern capital of Russia with Magnitogorsk yet. That is, to get from St. Petersburg to the capital of ferrous metallurgy, you will first need to get to Moscow.
There is a well-established transport connection between Magnitogorsk and Chelyabinsk - a distance of about 420 kilometers. These are mainly bus routes, although they are also rare, there are still train routes. For example, you can get from Chelyabinsk to Magnitogorsk by train number 345E (Nizhny Tagil-Adler), and the travel time will be 8:01 hours.
The distance that will have to be covered to travel on the road from Moscow to Magnitogorsk is 1,800 kilometers. Moreover, the motorist's path will run through Vladimir, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan and Ufa, first along the Entuziastov highway, then along the Gorkovskoye highway, the M7 highway, then along the M5 and along the P316 highway. The distance from St. Petersburg to Magnitogorsk is equal to 2,400 kilometers through Veliky Novgorod, Tver, through Moscow and then by the way described above.
