Finland has a common border with Russia, and residents of the Northwest region travel to this country quite often. Therefore, to obtain Finnish Schengen, applicants from Russia need a simplified package of documents, their list is smaller than for Schengen visas to other countries.

Step 1
A visa application form filled out in English, Finnish or Russian (in this case, you must use Latin letters). The application form must be signed at the indicated place.
Step 2
One 35 x 45 mm color photograph taken against a uniform light background, without various frames or corners.
Step 3
A passport, the validity of which is longer than the duration of the requested visa, not less than 90 days. It must have at least two blank pages so that your visa can be pasted and entered with entry stamps.
Step 4
Photocopies of pages from the passport, which contain personal information and registration data. If you live in St. Petersburg, then your passport must have a registration mark. If there is no registration, then - a mark from registration. In some cases, without intrigue, applicants are also required to show a bank statement and a certificate of employment. People who have lived in St. Petersburg since birth are usually not required to have such documents.
Step 5
To confirm a tourist trip, you need to show hotel reservations for the entire duration of your stay in the country (printout from the website or fax is suitable), if you are traveling on a voucher, then attach a voucher from a travel company.
Step 6
Those traveling on a private visit must attach an invitation to the application form. It is compiled in free form. You can attach a fax of the invitation, an e-mail printout, or an original document. If you plan to live with a Finnish resident, you must also show a copy of the passport or ID card of the owner of the house or the rental agreement for that person's housing.
Step 7
Any other purposes (shopping, visiting natural attractions, etc.) must be confirmed by showing the route and travel plan, as well as attaching copies of tickets to and from the country. The route is allowed to be made in English, Finnish or Russian, the form is free.
Step 8
Insurance policy issued in accordance with the requirements of Finland. The insurance company must be accredited by the country's consulate. A list of such companies is listed on the consulate's website.
