Step 1
Prepare all documents for presentation to the consulate. Take the requirements of the consular department seriously. Documents are accepted at any UK Visa Application Center.
Step 2
Fill in the form. Since March 1, 2008, the Embassy uses only electronic submission form directly on the website https://visa4uk.fco.gov.uk/ApplyNow.aspx, i.e. sequential filling of the graphs online. You need to fill out the questionnaire in English. If, for a number of reasons, you cannot fill in all the points at once, you can save the questionnaire and return to it later. To do this, go to the site using your email address. An individual number will be sent to you. After filling out the special link, send the form. It is also necessary to print it in duplicate and attach it to all required documents.
Step 3
Visit the British Embassy. You can choose the day and time convenient for you when filling out the questionnaire in the appropriate column. After that, a confirmation letter will be sent to your e-mail. In it you will also find the code assigned to you. Print this information to present at the entrance to the consulate.
Step 4
Come to the meeting in 20-25 minutes. The attendant will let you into the premises of the visa department in accordance with your code. There you will wait for a call to the consular officer. After receiving the documents and the interview, you need to pay the consular fee. The amount of payment varies depending on the validity of the visa - from 3,500 to 30,500 rubles. Then you must go through the biometrics procedure. If the consulate has any questions for you, you may be summoned for an additional interview. However, there is nothing wrong with that. An interview in itself does not mean that your visa application will be refused.
Step 5
After all the procedures, you will be informed when you can find out about the results of the review. The term is up to 4 weeks. By calling the Consulate, you will find out if the visa is ready. If so, you can pick up the visa with your passport yourself or through an authorized representative. It is also possible to send by courier service, for a fee.
