Voronezh is located five hundred kilometers from Moscow. The main city of the Voronezh region is a large transport center, through which a large highway passes. Many southbound trains run through the train station. There is an airport in this city, so you can get there by all means of transport.
By train
Trains to Voronezh leave from the Kazansky railway station in Moscow. The easiest way to get to the station is by metro. "Square of three stations", on which, in addition to the Kazansky you need, there are also Yaroslavsky and Leningradsky, is located at the Komsomolskaya station. This is a circular line. Trains to Voronezh (or those following through this city) leave frequently. In addition to the Voronezh trains themselves, trains to Rostov-on-Don, Liski, Anapa, Nalchik, etc. will suit you.
By electric trains
Once upon a time, the method of traveling by electric trains over long distances was extremely popular, since tickets were much cheaper than long-distance trains. Nowadays, commuter train travel is sometimes more expensive than a ride in a seated or even a reserved seat carriage. This method of travel, however, has a significant plus - if there are no tickets to Voronezh from Moscow, you can take a passing train in another direction, for example, in Tula. So, from the Kursk railway station in Moscow, go by train to Tula. From there you can go by direct train to Voronezh - tickets for it are almost always available, or by suburban train to Yelets. You can get from Yelets to Voronezh by anything - by train, passing train, bus or hitchhiking.
By plane
Airplanes to Voronezh depart from the capital's Domodedovo airport. You can get to it by bus or fixed-route taxi from the Domodedovskaya metro station, as well as by express train from the Paveletsky railway station. The distance between the cities is small, so travelers spend more time on the road from Moscow to Domodedovo and from Chertovitsky (where the international airport is located) to Voronezh.
By bus
The number of bus routes from Moscow to Voronezh is quite large. Flights depart from several metro stations - Paveletskaya, Kurskaya, Shchelkovskaya, Teply Stan. In Voronezh, buses come to the bus station, which is located almost next to the railway station.
By car and hitchhiking
If you prefer to travel by car, you need to get out of the capital to the Don highway. It leads directly to the south, and it is along it that you will reach Voronezh without turning anywhere. The track is in good condition, it is very busy, with developed infrastructure, so if necessary, you can easily find a roadside cafe and a place to sleep. Those who travel by hitchhiking usually also choose this particular route - it is easier to catch a ride here, which will take you straight to Voronezh.
