Hong Kong International Airport, or Hong Kong International Airport, is one of the largest and busiest airports in the world. It has several terminals, between which high-speed free shuttles run. There are several ways to get from the airport to the city.

Instructions

Step 1

The easiest way to get to the right place in the city is to take a taxi, but this method is also the most expensive. There are usually no major traffic jams in Hong Kong, and it takes 20-30 minutes to get to the center. Taxis in Hong Kong vary in color. Choose a red car if you need to go to Hong Kong Island or Kowloon. Green taxis follow to the New Territories. Blue cars refer to Lantau Island. The fare is paid by the meter installed in the car.

Step 2

The fastest way to get into the city is by taking the Airport Express train. This is a special metro line that allows you to get to the central part of the city and change to a regular metro. Express cars are more comfortable than in a regular metro, and the speed of this train reaches 130 km / h. Trains start at around 6 a.m. and end at about 1 a.m. (for a more precise timetable, check the Hong Kong airport website). The express takes about 25 minutes to reach Hong Kong Station.

Step 3

The bus is the cheapest way to get to the city. Since the bus route network in Hong Kong is very well thought out, this method is often also the most convenient (you can immediately get to the right place without any changes), although not the fastest. In any terminal you will see signs for Bus station, follow them. The ticket office is located in front of the exit to the stops. At each stop it is written which buses stop there.

Step 4

If you do not need to go directly to Hong Kong, and the purpose of the visit is the mainland of China, then use the ferry. You can buy a ticket for it in the arrivals hall of Terminal 1. There you will also see signs to the bus that delivers passengers to the ferry. If you are heading to China, there is no need to go through customs at the airport.
