Russia and Ukraine do not have a visa regime. Entry to the territory of a neighboring state is simplified as much as possible. And this means that you can get there not only with a foreign, but also with an ordinary passport, as well as a birth certificate.

Instructions

Step 1

To enter Ukraine with a child, you will need your own civil passport and a baby's birth certificate. Please note that it must have a citizenship stamp on it. You can get it at the territorial department of the Federal Migration Service immediately after the birth of the child. To do this, it is enough to bring the parents' passports and their photocopies there.

Step 2

In addition to the birth certificate, the child must be released to the territory of Ukraine on the basis of a foreign passport. The most important thing is that it is valid, and there are more than three months left until the moment of its replacement, counting from the date of the end of the trip. Under the new rules, children inscribed in the parents' passports are not allowed out of Russia. But some customs officers turn a blind eye to this and do not ask for documents for the child. However, this is rare enough. It is better not to risk it and issue a separate passport for the baby.

Step 3

If the child is traveling with one of the parents, the other is required to have a legally certified consent to leave. You can issue it at any notary office. In the presence of both parents, the lawyer will draw up a document stating that the child is allowed to travel abroad by a party not participating in the trip. Simply put, that mom or dad does not mind that the baby travels with only one parent.
