Necessary

tent, sleeping bag, travel mat, backpack, flashlight, clothes, shoes, hygiene products, documents, money, groceries, sunscreen, tools for quick equipment repair, first aid kit

Instructions

Step 1

If you started your camping trip by choosing a backpack, buy a model made of durable, waterproof material and light in weight. When trying on, put something heavy in it and pay attention to how the weight of the backpack is distributed - whether there is discomfort in the back area, and whether it is rubbing on the shoulders.

Step 2

When packing your backpack, cover the bottom with light, soft items, and then pack the heaviest items. However, remember to pack something soft (like clothing) on the back side, otherwise you may increase your discomfort during the hike. Put things light and fragile on top, as well as basic necessities - hygiene products, a flashlight, dishes, a windbreaker.

Step 3

When dressing for the hike, opt for light cotton clothing, but for chilly evenings, bring pants and long sleeves. Take all the items of the toilet in a modest way, in duplicate. But you shouldn't skimp with socks, all the same, the main load will fall on your feet. To save yourself from calluses, take 3-4 pairs of terry socks, and the same number of regular socks. If possible, purchase anti-ash socks. Be sure to pack warm clothing such as a sweater and jacket. As a raincoat, you can take a plastic cape, but remember that it is fragile. Do not forget about a hat - it will protect you not only from the sun, but also from insects.

Step 4

Shoes should not be heavy, comfortable, time-tested, but reliable. Closed shoes with grooved soles are ideal. In case of emergency, bring a spare pair with you. Rubber boots may be required depending on the terrain.

Step 5

Calculate the amount of food according to the duration of the hike. The main list: stew, canned food, cereals, pasta, crackers, salt. Sugar, tea and coffee will not be superfluous. In addition, take with you food that quickly satisfies your hunger - dried fruits, nuts, chocolate. Check with your instructor if you need to take a supply of water with you.

Step 6

It is unlikely that in a deep forest or high in the mountains there will be those who want to ascertain the truth of your identity, but you need to have your passport with you. Wrap it together with the money in several plastic bags so that moisture cannot penetrate inside.

Step 7

If you have to spend the night in tents, check with the organizers whether you should take your own tent or if you will be provided with one. Take your own sleeping bag, and do not forget about the travel mat, which should be at least two-layer.

Step 8

Among other useful things, bring your sunscreen, a small towel, a needle and thread, superglue, and a first aid kit with any personal medicine you may need. A basic first aid kit is usually held by the instructor.
