Before starting to fold, the parachute is carefully inspected for serviceability. If malfunctions are found, they are corrected or repaired according to the instructions for repairing the parachute equipment. The parachute is usually folded down by the "laying down" (responsible for the laying) and "helping". All stages are supervised by an instructor.
Instructions
Step 1
The folding of the parachute for a jump is considered completed if the following actions have been performed: inspection of the parachute and preparation for folding; folding the canopy and inspecting the lines; the dome is packed in a cover, and the slings are folded into the special honeycomb of the cover; the cover with the dome is laid on the knapsack, and the lineless ball parachute is folded onto the dome in the cover; the pulling rope is attached to the pulling rope and folded under the knapsack rubber.
Step 2
Inspection of the parachute is as follows: First - the canopy (cover) and lines; then the parachute is a ball-type exhaust lineless; then there is an inspection of the harness, knapsack, pulling ring and cable, cover.
Inspection of the canopy and lines: inspect the canopy and panels for light, check the stitching and fabric of the canopy.
The fabric should be solid and free from stains. Put the slings together and tighten, pay attention to the integrity. The dome cover is carefully checked for damage to ensure that all small parts are in good working order. If the rubber honeycomb is damaged, replace it with new ones, but it is prohibited to repair the honeycomb.
Step 3
The harness must have intact metal fittings and textiles. The knapsack must be with a serviceable cord ring, eyelets, cones and carabiners, and there must be no damage to the pull rope, carabiner and case. The parachute bag is inspected for integrity.
Step 4
Preparing the parachute for folding.
The pull ring cable is inserted into the flexible hose and the ring itself is placed in the harness pocket. Two buckles with locks on the harness are connected.
Put all the equipment near the knapsack. A correctly folded harness is positioned with the free ends on top. The knapsack lies on the harness. The packing tube is passed through the eyelets and fitted onto the spring cone.
Fold the dome, carefully following the sequence, fold the panel, starting from the bottom up, transfer the right side of the dome to the left half, making sure that the markings are on top.
Step 5
Next, we fold the slings, put a cover on the dome, then place this cover on the knapsack, and the rubber honeycomb needs to be threaded into the pockets. The flexible hose of the cable is passed through the belt loop of the harness. Clamp the knapsack rubber pendants into the wire loops on the valves.
The retractable rope folds under the knapsack rubbers. The loop of the pull rope is threaded through the loop of the rope, and then the end of the rope with the carabiner is passed into the loop of the rope and the loop is tightened.
The rope carabiner is inserted into the pocket of the right valve, the end of the flexible hose must be tucked into the knapsack under the right valve. The lanyard should be tucked into the ring on the right valve of the backpack.
The parachute is folded and ready for use.
