But traditions in this country differ in many respects from European laws and customs more familiar to Russian tourists. When crossing the border, make sure that you do not have any problems with customs. You cannot bring in weapons, any drugs (make sure that these substances are not in the composition of your medicines), psychotropic substances, ivory, birds of prey, as well as literature or video products of a dubious nature. This applies to eroticism and anti-religious propaganda. It may even be temporarily withdrawn from you for review.

Alcohol can only be transported in a very limited volume (two liters per adult), and even then not always. If you are traveling to Sharjah, then alcohol is prohibited in this emirate at all. They can simply withdraw it without explaining the reasons. Better humble yourself and don't argue. If you feel like having a drink, you can do it at the bar, hotel restaurant or in your room. In the resort of Ajman, you can also quite easily find alcoholic drinks, albeit at a very expensive price. At the same time, remember that you cannot carry a bottle with you, even unopened, on the street. The least that you face is a big fine. Also do not try to offer or give alcohol to local residents. In general, if possible, it is better to tune in to "dry" law.

Keep in mind that it is difficult for women to enter this country alone. It is much easier to enter with the assistance of a travel agency. If you are accompanied by a man, you will not experience any problems.

Another important condition is respect for the religious feelings of the people you are visiting. You should not look at the worshipers, wander around the mosque and around believers, or stand in front of them. It is also not allowed to take photographs during prayer. It is better not to enter the mosque just like that if you have nothing to do there. But if you did, then at least take care of a suitable type of clothing.

Try not to talk too much. For example, you should not discuss the expediency of prayers, fasting, Arab women, etc. By the way, if you decide to "joke" about women, it will cost you several tens of thousands of dirhams in fines.
