Pamukkale resort, located in the southwestern part of Turkey, is one of the most interesting and unusual places in this country. Here you should not count on noisy entertainment, with which a vacation in Turkey is usually associated, because Pamukkale is famous for something completely different.
What is Pamukkale?

Pamukkale attracts tourists not only by the opportunity to undergo wellness procedures, but also by the significantly milder climate in comparison with other regions of Turkey, which is formed thanks to the mountain ranges. As a result, the average annual temperature in this place is about 3-5 ° C lower than in the region. In general, the atmosphere in Pamukkale is strikingly different from the noisy and vibrant seaside resorts: people here rest in a completely different rhythm, relaxed and calm.
In addition to stunning healing lakes, picturesque ruins and Cleopatra's pool, the resort is famous for its carpets and crafts made from onyx, a semi-precious stone mined in Pamukkale. Of course, souvenirs are just a nice addition to the opportunity to improve your health and enjoy the incredible view of the "cotton fortress", but if you plan not only to relax, but also to bring gifts to friends, then unique onyx figurines are far from the worst option.
Do not think that recreation on the waters of Pamukkale is the exclusive prerogative of wealthy tourists.
