If you love to travel but don't have a tent, try making one yourself. Of course, in stores you can find a tent for every taste. But in a tent made with your own hands, and it becomes more pleasant to rest. Tents are usually sewn either from rubberized percale, or from a tent canvas, which is a linen fabric impregnated with a special composition. You can make a waterproof fabric using any of the methods below.

Step 1
Place a linen cloth in a 40% yellow laundry soap solution. As soon as the fabric is saturated, remove the fabric and immerse it in a 20% solution of copper sulfate. Pull out, dry. The waterproof fabric is ready.
Step 2
Mix an aqueous solution of lead acetate (30 g per liter of water) with a solution of aluminum sulfate (21 g per 350 ml of water). Shake until thoroughly mixed and strain the resulting composition through muslin. Now put a cloth in this mixture for 15 minutes, and then take it out and dry without wringing.
Step 3
Dip the cloth in a solution of 90 parts water, 10 parts glue, 1 part potassium dichromate and 1 part acetic acid. Then remove and dry.
Step 4
A few tips for making a tent. It is better to sew the floor of the tent and its back wall from a thicker and stronger material than the main part.
Step 5
Join the fabrics with a double thick seam coated with rubber glue. This will prevent the seams of the tent from leaking.
Step 6
Pass a thick hemp rope between the tape and the skate. And then at the ends of the rope, tied in loops, attach stretch marks. In addition, the loop attachment point should be covered with a special patch.
Step 7
At the ends of the ridge, make holes for the racks, secure them with a light eyelet (metal cap) or overcast with strong and thick threads. It will be better to sew a cap over the eyelet. It will prevent water from flowing into the hole.
Step 8
In the back wall, arrange an opening with a sleeve for ventilation. And make the entrance from two halves. You can fasten the fabrics with a rope zipper or fasteners and loops. And don't forget to make a ziplock at the entrance to keep out dirt and water.
Step 9
Store your tent with pegs and poles in a bag. When placing it in a cover, the tent must be absolutely dry. If you are not going to use the tent for a long time, wipe the sheets with talcum powder and roll them up.
