It is full of historical monuments and, in general, "legends of deep antiquity." Many tourists from all over Russia and from abroad go there. But there are cities that are less interesting, in which there are practically no historical monuments, which not so long ago received the status of a city. But people go there anyway. These settlements include the city of Shatura.

The city of Shatura is located 120 kilometers from Moscow, on the very shore of the Svyatoe Lake system. It is interesting that this settlement received its current status not so long ago - in 1936. And before that there was only the village of Shatura. At present, the city is connected with Moscow by the Kurovskoe - Shatura - Krivandino - Dmitrovsky Pogost highway. There is also a train connection.
Many people prefer to get to Shatura by bus. If you go from Moscow, the buses leave from the station next to the Vykhino meters. No more than 20 flights leave for Shatura every day. Among them there are buses running on the route Vykhino - Roshal, Vykhino - Misheronsky, Vykhino - Baksheevo and Vykhino itself - Shatura. Travel time is at least two and a half hours.

If we talk about traveling by car, then here you must first go along the Novoryazanskoe highway, pass Lyubertsy, Zhukovsky and Ramenskoe. Then, in the Kurovskoye area, cross the Small Moscow Ring and drive along a straight two-lane road to Shatura. The road surface is normal on all sections of the road, which will allow you to move at a good speed. If there are no serious traffic jams, then you can get to Shatura in two hours. But if there are big congestions at the exit from Moscow, then the road can take three or four hours.

So it is less tiring and convenient to travel by train. The Moscow-Shatura direct train leaves the Kazansky railway station in Moscow at least ten times a day. Travel time is approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes. You can also get to Shatura by train Moscow - Cherusti. This train takes a little longer - about two and a half hours. But the difference is not so fundamental. And there will be no traffic jams.
