Izmailovo, the oldest district of Moscow, is surrounded by parks, quiet streets and cozy houses. This oasis of the metropolis lives its own life, but getting to the city center will not be a problem for you - the area has very convenient transport links, several metro stations and a bus station.
Instructions
Step 1
If you need to get to Izmailovsky bus station by metro, go to Partizanskaya station. If you are coming from the city center, you need the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line towards the end station of the Shchelkovskaya metro station. The bus station is located right on the square in front of the metro exit.
Step 2
Those wishing to walk on a fine day in the famous Izmailovsky Park should also get to the Partizanskaya metro station. Exit the metro (there is only one exit) and turn right. Cross the road at the regulated pedestrian crossing and continue on. A little to the left in front of you will be the entrance to the amusement park, if you go around it on the right, you will find yourself in the park itself, where you can walk, ride a bike and even ride a horse in an equestrian club.
Step 3
If you are not interested in active entertainment, it is better to get off at the Izmailovsky Park station. The park zone there starts right next to the metro. And this is an ideal option for a walk with children.
Step 4
It will take a little longer to get to the park from the Shosse Enthusiasts metro station. Leaving the metro at the sign, go forward. Next, be guided by what kind of input you need. The most convenient way is to get to the equestrian club from the Shosse Entuziastov metro station.
Step 5
Connoisseurs of old Moscow, when exiting the metro, are better off walking straight along the Izmailovsky highway. After 500 meters on your left there will be a bridge leading to Izmailovsky Island. It is really an island, which is surrounded on all sides by ponds and a river. Once upon a time there was a royal estate. Now from it are the Bridge Tower, the Front and Back gates and the current Cathedral of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos.
Step 6
When getting to the Izmailovo attractions by car, choose between Entuziastov and Shchelkovsky Highways. Enthusiasts Highway is busier on both weekdays and weekends. When driving from the center, take the U-turn on 1st Vladimirskaya Street and go straight.
Step 7
If you are driving along the Shchelkovskoye highway, go down the street in front of the Cherkizovskaya overpass. Turn right and continue until the intersection. At the traffic lights, you can turn left and park your car along the road by the park opposite the metro. Or you can go straight, but parking there will be more difficult.
