Nizhny Novgorod is the fifth largest city in Russia. It is quite close to Moscow (only four hundred kilometers). You can get there in several ways - by train, by high-speed "Sapsan", by plane, by bus and, of course, by private car.

Trains to Nizhny Novgorod from Moscow run from Belorussky, Kursky and Yaroslavsky stations. Most of them are passing, for which Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod are intermediate stops. Their starting points are located in the north-west of Russia (in Murmansk, St. Petersburg) or in Siberia - Nizhny Tagil, Novosibirsk, Nizhnevartovsk, etc. Travel time from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod is from six to eight hours.

Faster from Moscow or St. Petersburg to Nizhny Novgorod can be reached by "Sapsan". Travel time from the capital is only three hours and fifty-five minutes. At the same time, the high-speed electric train makes two stops on the way - in Vladimir and Dzerzhinsk.

You can get from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod by plane from Vnukovo and Sheremetyevo airports. Several flights every day - day, evening and night. A new Sukhoi superjet 100 aircraft flies from Terminal D of Sheremetyevo Airport to Nizhny Novgorod. Travel time is one hour and thirty minutes.

From the Kursk railway station, from Syromyatnicheskaya street in Moscow, a bus leaves to Nizhny Novgorod. It runs three times a day - at 11-00, 15-00 and 23-00. Travel time is about six and a half hours, excluding traffic jams at the exit from the capital.

By car, you can get to Nizhny Novgorod quickly enough. The track was recently widened and there are eight lanes at the entrance to it. The easiest way is to leave Moscow via Entuziastov highway to the Volga highway (M7, Gorkovskoe highway). Further - straight, past Noginsk, Malaya Dubna, Kirzhach, Undol, along the bypass through Vladimir, to Nizhny Novgorod. Travel time is about five and a half hours excluding traffic jams.
