Any flight in a helicopter for a non-professional requires some training, and has a number of limiting factors, depending on the health, age, physical and psychological parameters of each flight participant.

Instructions

Step 1

Helicopter flights are quite popular entertainment for adults and children. There are quite a few aviation centers and flying clubs in Russia where you can get training and regular briefing when flying as a passenger.

When flying, a passenger should adequately assess their own physical condition. There is a certain list of diseases in which air travel can cause great harm to health. It includes diseases of the circulatory system and blood vessels (severe varicose veins, thrombosis, recent strokes and heart attacks), acute or chronic lung diseases (asthma, pneumonia). In addition, it is worth postponing a helicopter flight until you recover from acute attacks of bronchitis and viral diseases. As a rule, persons with mental illness, especially those with depression or suicidal tendencies, are not allowed on board. It is quite dangerous to take to the air in a helicopter for problems with ears: damage to the middle or inner ear can be amplified by the sound wave emitted by the helicopter throughout the flight. If there were such health problems for 2-3 weeks before the flight, it is worth getting a medical examination the day before and clarify the degree of health risk with a specialized doctor.

There is usually a small first aid kit on board aircraft, but in case of constant use of vital medicines, you need to take them with you even on a half-hour flight and keep them in an easily accessible place: a pocket or a small bag.

Step 2

If a child is to fly in a helicopter, it is worth warning him in advance that it will be quite noisy and that special noise canceling headphones will be issued. Secondly, children need 1-2 times to conduct self-instruction on behavior in a helicopter. It is worth remembering that passengers aged 7 and over are taken on board the helicopter, accompanied by adults.

Step 3

Preparation before piloting consists in a comprehensive check of the helicopter before departure (you need to check the operation of the motors, as well as navigation devices and radios), clarification of the weather report. The flight is canceled in the event of a storm warning or just a sudden strong wind for the safety of passengers and the pilot. Also, the pilot needs to prepare passengers before boarding: conduct a brief briefing, explain his actions, check passengers for sobriety. All flying clubs in Russia prohibit drunken flights.
