Step 1
There are 4 German Consulates in the Russian Federation: in St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk. Depending on the place of your registration, you are tied to the nearest consulate and you must apply for a visa at this address. The German consulate requires a personal presence to submit documents and obtain a visa. The consul has the right to schedule a personal interview for you, based on the results of which a decision will be made to open a visa or refuse it.
Step 2
Collect a complete package of documents for a visa:
-international passport;
-Russian passport with a residence permit adjacent to this consulate;
-An application for obtaining a visa in Russian or German;
-medical insurance;
- an invitation from a German citizen;
-your photos for each form and questionnaire;
-consular fee for a national German visa (€ 60 for adults and € 30 for minors). The inviter must confirm your relationship with him or his right to hire you (in the case of a work visa). At the same time, he must provide a document confirming his material security and ability to support you while you are in Germany. In turn, when receiving a visa, you must provide documents proving your indispensable return to your homeland. These can be certificates from work or place of study, bank account details, documents for property (apartment, car, etc.), marriage certificate. Prove to the consul that you are not trying to escape to Germany to stay with your relatives.
Step 3
Make an appointment at the consulate: you will not be admitted without prior reservation. Registration can be made by phone, on the website of the consulate, or with the help of a visa center or travel agency that helps you in preparing documents. Registration at the consulate is paid.
Step 4
Passport requirements:
- international passport and a copy of its page with personal data;
-the passport must have at least two blank pages;
-the validity of the passport ends no earlier than 3 months after the end of the trip. Requirements for photographs:
-size 45x35 mm without borders;
-the height of the face is 32-36 mm, in the center of the photo;
-the photo must be taken no earlier than half a year before the submission of documents. If you have changed your hairstyle or something in appearance, the photo will not work;
- the face should be open: hair is tucked away, glasses do not cover eyes and do not have glare;
-the background should contrast with the color of the hair and face.
Step 5
