Instructions

Step 1

Prepare your passport. The passport must have one blank page for affixing a Chinese visa. Its validity period must be at least 6 months from the date of the end of the trip.

Step 2

Receive an invitation from the Chinese side.

A visa to China for tourism requires an invitation from a travel company registered in China (you need to purchase a voucher) or from a hotel where places are booked for the entire period of stay in the country. A student visa is granted if there is an original and a copy of the application for the arrival of foreigners in China (JW201 or JW202) issued by a Chinese university.

A Chinese visa for visiting relatives living in the country is issued upon presentation of an invitation from them.

To obtain work and commercial visas, you will need an invitation from a Chinese organization, which indicates the name and surname of the invitee in Russian and English, the number of the passport, the purpose of the trip, the time of stay in the country.

Step 3

Collect the rest of the documents.

A visa to China for the purpose of study requires originals and copies of the notice of admission to a Chinese university and a medical certificate of health of a foreigner.

For a work visa - the original and a copy of a permit to work in China issued by the Ministry of Labor of the People's Republic of China or a confirmation of the organization's right to invite foreign citizens to the country, which is issued by the Office of Foreign Specialists. And also a medical certificate.

For a commercial visa - an original 1st degree invitation from a Chinese organization in the case of a multiple-entry visa for a year or an original 2nd degree invitation from an organization to obtain a multiple-entry visa for six months.

To travel to China with children, you need a copy of the birth certificate, a notarized power of attorney from one parent / parents in case the child travels with one of the parents or with third parties, as well as a copy of the principal's passport.

Step 4

Take a color photo. A photo of 3x4 or 3, 5x4, 5 size is required for pasting into the questionnaire. To visit China with children, you will need a color photograph of each child.

Step 5

Fill out the form for the PRC Embassy. A questionnaire is drawn up in Russian, Chinese or English by hand in block letters or on a computer. An additional questionnaire will have to be filled out by persons:

- those who do not have Russian citizenship, but live in Russia;

- traveling with children who are entered in the passport;

- whose purpose of travel to China is work or study.

Step 6

Submit all collected documents to the PRC Embassy. The consular section of the PRC Embassy is located in Moscow. There are visa departments of the General Consulate of the PRC in St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Khabarovsk and Vladivostok, where a Chinese visa is issued.
