Turkey is a resort region with a huge variety of hotels. How not to get confused in the choice and choose the best option for yourself.
A little more than three months are left until the calendar summer, but many have already begun to look for options for a beach holiday. It is not the first year that tourists have been attracted by the Mediterranean coast of sunny Turkey, and travel agencies are actively offering a wide variety of accommodation options. It is quite difficult for an ignorant tourist to understand this abundance of hotels, which at first glance seem very similar, but the difference lies only in the price.
What should you pay attention to when choosing a hotel in Turkey:
1. Distance from the airport. This factor is especially relevant for families traveling with small children. The least distant cities from the airports are: Antalya, Kemer, Side, Belek and Bodrum. In these regions, the transfer from the airport to the hotel will not exceed 1 hour. If you are not afraid of long bus journeys, then you can safely choose Alanya, Didim, Marmaris and Kusadasi for rest.
2. Star rating of the hotel. In Turkey, a five-star hotel classification is adopted, there is also a higher class HV1 (as a rule, it refers to club hotels). For a comfortable stay, 4- and 5-star hotels are quite suitable. Tourists should be aware that three-star hotels have very small rooms and often lack balconies.
3. All-inclusive system. Practice shows that now almost all Turkish hotels operate according to this concept. However, it is worth considering how many restaurants and bars there are on the territory of the hotel; and what time of day they work. Pay attention to what alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are included in the voucher price.
4. Distance from the beach. If you have planned just a beach holiday, then you should choose hotels that are located on the first lane from the sea (50-150 meters). Keep in mind that hotels that are located across the street from the beach strip are slightly cheaper, but they are also suitable for a comfortable stay.
5. The area of the territory. It is better to avoid hotels with a very small area (less than 5000 square meters). The larger the territory of the hotel, the more developed the infrastructure (more pools, restaurants and bars).
6. Room size. The normal area of a room for a comfortable stay of two people should be more than 18 square meters. Please note that the area of the rooms is often indicated as total, which also includes the area of the balcony. Good hotels offer their guests everything they need to relax: TV, refrigerator, air conditioning, hairdryer, kettle.
Using these tips, you will be able to find a hotel for a comfortable stay and a good holiday in Turkey much faster.
