Step 1
Get a plane ticket from Moscow to Riga, this is the fastest way to get to Latvia. You can choose a flight at any time convenient for you - the time of the first flight is 9.05, the last one is 23.45. Step 2
Travel from Moscow by train. “Latvijas Express” departs from the platform of the Rizhsky railway station every day at 20.08. Travel time is 16 hours. Choose the ticket that suits you best in terms of comfort and price - the train includes reserved seats, compartment cars, luxury cars and even general ones. The train arrives in Riga at 10.00 local time, remember that the difference with Moscow is 2 hours less. Step 3
Use the shuttle bus services. They leave from the square of the Rizhsky railway station every day at 21.00, tickets should be bought in advance, you can book them on the website of the carrier Ecolines, this is the only carrier that carries out bus transportation on the Moscow - Riga route. Estimated travel time is 16 hours. The cost of a bus ticket is comparable to the price of a train ticket in a shared carriage.
Step 4
Travel to Riga by car. From Moscow you need to go along the M9 highway, the road passes through the territory of the Moscow, Tver and Pskov regions, the road surface on the second leaves much to be desired. Passport and customs control is carried out at Terekhovo-Burachki. On the territory of Latvia, the highway is called A12, it passes through Riga.
