Vacation is different. Someone wants to bask on the hot sand, while someone wants to see the northern nature, its grandeur and beauty. And in Russia there are such reserved places, in a place called Karelia. The region is famous for its wild and majestic waterfalls.
Kivach waterfall
Albeit flat, but with a zealous character, the waterfall is located in the central zone of Karelia. Its majestic and aggressive waves carry endless streams of water into the Sunu River. The waterfall is about 11 meters high. The spectacle of falling water bewitches and excites the imagination. A whole tourist base has been created around the natural phenomenon, where you can watch the streams of water while drinking juice and getting ready for a tourist trip. Best visiting period: June to September.
Ruskeala waterfalls
As the name implies, the object is located near the village of Ruskealy. The waterfall relief itself can be seen even from the road. The height is small, about 4 meters. Few people know, but the historical film "The Dawns Here Are Quiet" was filmed at this waterfall.
Waterfalls White Bridges
Two brothers-waterfalls, shimmering with heart-rending foam, zealously spew streams of water for the joy of those who gaze. They are considered the highest waterfalls in the Republic of Karelia. The height is about 19 meters. It is a pity that the tourist trail goes far from this place, there is only an inconspicuous winding trail in the direction of the noise of the water.
Kumi waterfall
One of the most beautiful and majestic creations of nature. And in winter, something incredible is happening - the frost tries its best to hold down the water, but the patient and diligent waterfall does not give it this opportunity. And very beautiful growths and even shapes are formed from frozen ice, but not to the end. The height of the waterfall is 18 meters.
There are few places where you can see so many beautiful and mesmerizing waterfalls in one region. Everyone should see such beauty, the greatness of nature simply amazes the eye and imagination.
