Therefore, if one of the flights is late and the connection is disrupted, the responsibility for this lies with the airline, which is obliged to deliver it to the destination in any way. Step 2
Flight with a connection with one airline, when the final points do not lie within the same customs area. For example, a flight to Bali via Bangkok. In this case, the passenger and baggage are checked in immediately to their final destination. Therefore, at the transit airport you do not need to collect your luggage and check in for the next flight. You just need to go from one plane to another. An important nuance: the airline must be the same along the entire route.
Step 3
A connecting flight where the final points of the route lie in the same customs area. For example, a flight from Krasnoyarsk (Russia) via Moscow (Russia) to the United States. In this case, the passenger and baggage are checked in only to the first point (Moscow), then he receives the baggage himself, goes through passport and customs control again, independently checks in for his next flight and returns the baggage. Some airlines still carry baggage from flight to flight without a passenger.

Multi-airline connecting flight. In this case, the passenger and baggage are checked in for the flight of the same company. At the transfer point, the passenger receives his luggage, checks in for the flight of another company, drops the luggage again, and passes through passport control. That is, the transplant is carried out independently. The airline does not provide any assistance. The transfer from flight to flight takes place at the airport. Therefore, a transit visa to another country is not required. And only flights through countries such as the USA and Australia are prohibited without a transit visa. Keep in mind that a transit visa only allows you to stay in the country for 24 hours. For a longer stay, you need to obtain a regular visa.
Step 6
Small airports have only one terminal. In the absence of a queue for customs and passport control, the transfer is carried out very quickly. If the airport is very large, it must have several terminals. Consider travel time, as travel between terminals can often take 20-30 minutes.
