Ulyanovsk was founded in 1648 and is located on the right high bank of the Volga River. The Zavolzhsky district is located on the left side of the Volga and can be reached in two ways: by the new "Presidential Bridge" (about 13 kilometers) or by the old "Imperial" (length 3.5 kilometers). This area is the newest, has a huge number of shopping centers and wide avenues. A little further from the residential area, there is an airport and the Aviastar plant, which builds the largest Ruslan planes to date.

In the Zasviyazhsky district there are two main parks - "Black Lake" and "Molodezhny", where you can walk, eat ice cream and sit on a bench in the cool shade of trees. If you love nature, visit the vicinity of the village of Undory, this is where the Jurassic Park is located. The land of the paleontological reserve is rich in the remains of fossil fauna (belemnites, cephalopods-ammonites, skeletons of plesiosaurs, sea lizards-ichthyosaurs and pliosaurs). After visiting the museum, walk along the banks of the Volga, swim in the river, collect fossilized shells as a keepsake in memory of Ulyanovsk.
