The Rusalka resort is located in the north of Bulgaria. Rest here differs from other Bulgarian resorts in the lack of urban infrastructure. But the most important attraction of the "Mermaid" is its nature. After all, this resort was built in an oak grove, in a reserve called "Tauk Liman", known for a variety of exotic species of birds and plants. Especially many amazing and rare birds can be seen near their refuge - Lake Tuzla.
The area where the resort is located is rocky, so here you can visit many small mysterious caves. And if you go down a few kilometers to the coast, you can see the legacy of ancient people who once lived on this land, namely the rock paintings of Yailat.
Near the resort there is a rocky cape Kaliakra protruding 2 km into the sea and having a reddish tint. They say that the cape got this color from the blood that was shed for centuries for the possession of this place. Also on this cape are the ruins of an ancient fortress, which was built in the 4th century BC.
