Nowadays, on weekends, it is often a hunt to relax not only with the body, but also with the soul. I bring to your attention one of these places.
The island-city of Sviyazhsk is located at the confluence of the Sviyaga River with the Volga River. You can get to the island in two ways: either by car along the dam of the left bank of the Sviyaga, or by a pleasure boat.
The island itself is pedestrian. A walk around the island in good sunny weather will give you a lot of positive emotions.
There are 6 churches, a museum, merchants' houses and hotels on the island. Also on both sides of the island (the island has an oval shape) there are two complexes of historical reconstructions.
From the side of the river station there is a historical reconstruction of the Middle Ages "Lazy Torzhok". Here you can shoot a bow or crossbow, taste medieval food or try on knightly armor. And if you're lucky, you can get into a medieval knightly tournament.
On the side of the dam is the "Horse yard". On its territory there are taverns and stables. There is also a craft settlement. In the craft settlement there are: a smithy where a coin can be minted right in front of you, a pottery workshop where they will make a clay pot, a wicker who will weave a basket, and there is also a leather workshop where they will make you a souvenir made of leather.
If you are too lazy to walk, then at the horse yard you can order a carriage ride. I wish you a good walk.
