Instructions
Step 1
First of all, fill out the visa application form. You need to fill it out in English or Dutch. The questionnaire must be completed on a computer.
Step 2
You can apply for a visa only by appointment. Registration is made using the calendar on the website of the Embassy - https://russia-ru.nlembassy.org/Our_services/Visa_department/Visa_department. Acceptance of documents begins 3 months before the date of the proposed trip and ends 3 weeks before it. You can choose any convenient time in this period.
Step 3
If you are a private entrepreneur, you will need to attach to the main documents a copy of the registration of the enterprise in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia and a copy of the TIN.
Step 4
Schoolchildren and students need to submit a certificate from the educational institution. If the trip is planned for the period of study, you will need a second certificate with permission to be absent from class.
Step 5
Pensioners and non-working citizens need to attach a copy of the pension certificate and proof of financial solvency (sponsorship letter, bank statement, etc.).
Step 6
If you are traveling by invitation, you will need the original invitation, a letter of guarantee (Garant-verklaring) issued by the municipality of the city where the inviter lives, a certificate of his monthly income for the last 3 months (the amount must be at least 1200 euros per month) and an identity card (copy of passport or residence permit). If you are going to visit your next of kin, you do not need to provide proof of their ability to pay.
Step 7
For children, a separate questionnaire is filled out and a copy of the birth certificate is attached. If the child is traveling with one of the parents, it is necessary to attach the original and a copy of the notarized permission to leave from the second parent. The original will be returned to you and you will show it when you leave the Russian Federation.
Step 8
If the child is traveling accompanied by third parties, you must submit the original and a copy of the notarized permission from both parents. If the child lives with one parent and the whereabouts of the other is unknown, a corresponding certificate from the police or other competent authorities must be submitted.
