The climate of the central regions of Vietnam is subtropical monsoon. The rainy season here starts later than in the south, and it lasts from August to January. The greatest amount of precipitation falls in October and November. From February, the rains stop and the beach season begins.
In the northern part of the country, the influence of the Siberian anticyclone is observed, bringing precipitation and cold air masses. The climate is subtropical monsoon. The change of seasons of the year is more pronounced here. Also in this part of the country there is a shorter beach season: from April to May and from September to October.

The most popular resorts in Vietnam are Phan Thiet and Nha Trang. Phan Thiet is located in the southern part of the country. The high season at this resort lasts from November to April. Phan Thiet attracts tourists not only with its many kilometers of sandy beaches, but also with natural attractions, among which red and white sand dunes occupy one of the first places in popularity. Also from Phan Thiet you can go on an excursion to the lake with lotuses or go for a walk along the Red Canyon.
The city of Nha Trang, surrounded by the Truong Son mountains, became a resort during the time of the emperors, attracting noble persons with healing mineral springs. Modern Nha Trang has a developed tourist infrastructure. The city has many restaurants, bars, cafes, clubs and beauty salons. There are dive centers on the beaches of Nha Trang. The main diving sites are located near Honmun Island. From representatives of the underwater world, divers can see moray eels, barracudas, jellyfish, various fish, and there are also coral reefs in some diving sites.
