Russian tourists are choosing more and more interesting ways to spend their holidays abroad. One of the new directions is yacht rental. There is a huge selection of companies that are ready to offer their services in order not just to buy a ticket, but to diversify your leisure time. The cost of renting a yacht for a company of 4-6 people becomes equal to the average price of a tour to the usual resorts of Turkey or Egypt. Meanwhile, there are much more opportunities for such a vacation.
Instructions
Step 1
Determine what you want from your trip. Privacy, exotic nature and white beaches, or you are more attracted by the noisy discos of port cities. Accordingly, you will have to order a yacht. This must be done 4-5 months before departure. The best time to travel around the Mediterranean Sea and the coast of Europe is from May to November. At the same time, it is good to travel in the South Pacific, for example, in the Seychelles. From November to April, opt for yachting in the Caribbean, Bahamas, Virgin Islands and Florida. Spring from March to May is the time to travel to the exotic seas of Thailand, Malaysia and the Indian Ocean.
Step 2
Decide which yacht you want to rent: sailing or motor. A sailing yacht allows you to truly enjoy the journey, it is a leisurely vacation that is not disturbed by the noise of a running engine. The route often depends on the wind speed. A motor yacht allows you to quickly move from port to port, does not depend on the wind and sea currents. But the cost of renting such a yacht is higher due to the cost of fuel.
Step 3
How many people will travel? Depending on this, you will form a so-called ship's cash desk and choose the size of the yacht.
Step 4
Select the type of rental. There is the possibility of independent sailing, but in this case one of the travelers must have a certificate for the right to operate a cruise yacht. Foreign companies recognize a Russian certificate if it is issued in Russian and English. If in doubt, the charter company can give you a kind of exam to ensure your competence.
Step 5
If your company does not have professional sailors, you can rent a yacht with a captain. In this case, you can simply enjoy the cruise without thinking about the bottom topography, different currents and other difficulties of the sea voyage. Also, on large yachts (from 18 meters), it is mandatory to rent a team, most often two people.
Step 6
If you take a yacht on an independent voyage, then you will have to take care of the meals on board. A grocery stock for the first couple of days will be provided at your request by the company organizing the charter. Then you will buy food yourself, you can also eat on the shore, in port restaurants and cafes.
Step 7
Having decided on these questions, contact any travel company that organizes sea cruises. Experts will select for you several options that meet your requirements.
Step 8
When concluding a contract, an advance payment of 50% of the yacht rental cost is usually made. After some time (3-7 days) you will receive an officially confirmed reservation for the selected yacht.
Step 9
A month before the start of the lease, you are required to pay the remaining amount, after which you will be given a set of documents required for obtaining a visa. Please note that the yacht booking will be the place of residence.
Step 10
Usually the port of departure is also the port of arrival. If you wish, you can arrange the cruise in such a way as not to return. A similar service is provided by most charter companies, but for an additional fee.
