The Far East is a popular destination for tourists from Russia and neighboring countries. The unique natural beauty and rich history attract many here. In order for the development of tourism in the Far Eastern region to proceed more intensively, it was decided to create an analogue of the "Golden Ring".
At the moment, tourists wishing to get acquainted with the sights of the Far East will face several problems. These are transport inaccessibility, lack of developed infrastructure and lack of budget hotels. In addition to Russians, Mongols, Japanese, and Chinese come to travel to the Far Eastern region. An expensive three-star hotel looks extremely unpresentable for them, while for the same amount in China you can rent a room in a comfortable five-star hotel.
A round table was organized, at which tourism experts expressed their ideas on how to make the region more attractive and accessible to guests. The best option was to create a tourist route similar to the Golden Ring in the European part of Russia. At the moment, the project is under development. It is planned to include the most popular attractions. The network of budget hotels will stretch along the route from Lake Baikal to Primorye. The Ring will include Vladivostok and Khabarovsk, as well as natural attractions - Lake Khanka, tiger and leopard reserves. Negotiations are under way to include the Honey Village, a tourist complex in Altai, which is planned to be launched in 2013, into the Golden Ring.
So far, experts are not ready to say when the project will be implemented. With the help of local ethnographers, it is possible to quickly develop several popular tourist routes, but further assistance from the state will be required. It is necessary to introduce flights to Vladivostok from St. Petersburg, and also make sure that airlines do not inflate ticket prices during the high season. It will also require the construction of an Aeroexpress - the road to Vladivostok from the airport currently takes two hours. However, the Department of Domestic Tourism believes that with the help of the state, all difficulties can be overcome.
