Turkmenistan is the most difficult country to visit of all that were part of the USSR. Citizens of Russia and the CIS countries need to obtain a visa, which is not issued to everyone. You can register it at the consulate of Turkmenistan in Moscow. Subject to a number of conditions, it is possible to obtain a visa upon arrival at the Ashgabat airport.
Instructions
Step 1
A visa upon arrival in Turkmenistan can be obtained in only one place: at the international airport in Ashgabat. To do this, prepare an original or a photocopy of an invitation from a private or legal entity. The invitation must be written in the form established by the migration rules of Turkmenistan and certified by the State Migration Service of the country. The visa is put in the passport, which must be valid for the duration of the entire trip. The validity of the visa upon arrival is 10 days, but later it can be extended by contacting the Migration Service. The fee for such a visa is $ 155. In addition, you will have to buy and fill out a so-called boarding card, which costs $ 12.
Step 2
To apply for a tourist visa at the consulate of Turkmenistan, you need to prepare an impressive package of documents. An international passport, the validity of which must be at least six months at the time of application, two photocopies of the first page with personal data, a completed visa application form in Russian and a color photograph of 30x40 mm on a light background. You will also need a photocopy of all pages of the Russian passport that contain any information.
Step 3
To confirm your trustworthiness, you need to provide an invitation from a private or legal entity. It is filled in and certified by the Migration Service of Turkmenistan in the same way as an invitation for an urgent visa upon arrival. If the trip is tourist, you need to show a voucher from a travel company licensed in the territory of Turkmenistan.
Step 4
Also prepare a certificate from the place of work, which should contain the following information: your seniority, position and salary, as well as the contact details of the director of the company. The certificate must be signed by the director.
Step 5
Pensioners must attach a copy of the pension certificate, and students and schoolchildren - a certificate from the place of study or a student card. If the sponsor pays for the trip, then you need to attach a certificate from his place of work.
Step 6
According to the rules of the consulate, the decision to issue a visa is made within ten calendar days. It can be approved only after a personal interview with the consul. You can submit documents from 09:00 to 11:00 on a working day, except Wednesday. You must show up within the specified time frame and pay the visa fee on the spot. Its exact size depends on the duration of the requested visa and some other parameters.
