For a vacation in Turkey, you will definitely need a passport. You will need it as soon as you start to arrange an overseas tour with a tour operator. The passport must be obtained from the Migration Service of the Russian Federation at the place of your registration at least three weeks before the intended vacation. If children are traveling with you, do not forget to enter them in your passports. Adult children already need their own passport. When entering Turkey, a stamp will be stuck in your passport - a temporary visa, which gives you the right to stay in the country for two months. It costs about 20 euros.

After you choose and pay for your tour, you will receive a package of necessary documents from the tour operator. Among them must be air tickets for everyone who travels with you. Sometimes children under two years old fly to Turkey without a ticket, but the age should be checked with your tour operator. There must also be return tickets, otherwise you risk being left without a vacation. The package of documents must contain a hotel booking voucher. This voucher must contain the name of the hotel you have chosen, its food system, type of accommodation, dates when you will check in and check out.

If you are traveling to Turkey on your own, then you yourself must take care of the hotel booking. Book a hotel room for a day from your home computer via the Internet. Then print their invitation on a printer. You can show this document at passport control. When you arrive in Turkey, you can cancel your reservation and travel wherever you like. In this case, hotels charge your card for a day or do not charge anything at all.

Also in Turkey you may need insurance. The independent traveler will have to take care of this himself; and for those who have chosen a tour from a tour operator, this document is in the general package. The insurance contains the names of all insurers, the dates of the vacation and the amount that will be paid in case of trouble. When buying a tour, you can choose the type of insurance. When signing, carefully read the conditions of insurance, so that in the event of such a moment there will be no misunderstandings.

When you enter the country, they also check if you have cash. But remember: if you are exporting more than $ 3,000 in cash, then you should take a certificate-permission to export cash from your bank.

Also, when buying a tour from a tour operator, the package of documents must contain all paid excursions and additional services. Pay no less attention to this. It happens that when you go on a pre-selected excursion, the ticket is not paid for and you have no place among the travelers.

Among the documents to Turkey there is also a memo for a tourist. This memo is written about the Turkish people, their customs and traditions, about additional hotels and their currency.
