To travel to Lithuania, Russian citizens need a visa. Lithuania is one of the countries of the Schengen agreement, and if you have a multivisa to Schengen, then you can go to Lithuania without hindrance. All others need to apply to the consular department for permission.

Step 1
The Lithuanian consulate is in charge of issuing four types of visas. Transit visa A allows you to stay on the territory of the airport during a connecting flight, however, having this visa, you cannot stay on the territory of the state. Having received a B transit visa, you can stay in Lithuania for up to 5 days. Tourist visa C is issued to those who wish to visit this country as a tourist. National visa D allows you to stay in Lithuania for more than three months and gives you the right to work.
Step 2
The most popular visas are, of course, tourist ones. In order to obtain it, you will need some documents, namely: a passport, a copy of a Russian passport, a photograph of 3.5 cm * 4.5 cm, a medical certificate. Also, when applying for a visa, you need to make an extract from your bank account, but it must be done no earlier than two days before contacting the consular department. Do not forget to take a certificate from work about your income, it must be issued on a letterhead indicating the salary and position. There you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire in Russian or in Lithuanian. You can also fill it out and send it electronically. You must glue a photo on the profile.
Step 3
If you are traveling to Lithuania by invitation, then you need to bring an invitation certified by a consular officer. The original and its copy are required. For independent travelers who did not resort to the help of a travel company, you need to provide a hotel reservation, secured by a seal, for the entire period of stay in the country, or a document that confirms your financial viability. Confirmation of the availability of money at least forty euros per day per person is required during the entire trip.
Step 4
If you are going to travel with a minor child, he must be present at the consulate in person. In the case when only one of the parents travels with the child, you need to notarize the permission to leave from the second.
Step 5
You can get a Lithuanian visa in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sovetsk and Kaliningrad. A tourist visa of category C is issued for a period of 3 to 12 months. It gives the right to stay on the territory of Lithuania for no more than three months.
