St. Petersburg is a city where there is entertainment for absolutely everyone, both for the little ones and for their parents.
Animal lovers should visit the Leningrad Zoo, where in winter you can admire polar bears, and if you are afraid of freezing, the zoo has indoor pavilions and temporary exhibitions. For example, an exhibition of beetles or butterflies. A visit to another zoo can be combined with a trip out of town, namely to Zelenogorsk, where the Raduga mini zoo is located. St. Petersburg is the world's cultural capital, so here you will find many theaters for even the smallest spectators. You can go to the Bolshoi Puppet Theater on Nekrasov Street, where performances are held all year round for children of absolutely any age, and during the winter holidays they show special festive performances, this year, for example, you can watch The Secret of the New Year Tree. No less interesting performances can be seen in the very first Russian professional puppet theater - the St. Petersburg Puppet Theater named after E. S. Demmeni or Music Hall, where, in addition to musicals, there are also children's performances, for example, How Mashenka and the Bear Saved the New Year.
When choosing a museum to visit with children, you should pay attention to the Zoological Museum, the Toy Museum, the cruiser "Aurora" or the Water Museum.
An excellent alternative to theatrical performances can be a visit to the circus, namely the oldest Bolshoi St. Petersburg State Circus on the Fontanka. On New Year's holidays, the circus traditionally hosts not an ordinary show, but a fairy tale, this year the choice fell on Cinderella. The famous Circus du Soleil often comes to the northern capital on tour, the next show of which will be held in the Ice Palace on January 22.
Active rest with children
For lovers of active pastime with children, it is recommended to visit one of the St. Petersburg water parks "Waterville" or "Rodeo Drive", where adults and children can roll off the slides and swim in the pool with artificial waves.
If the weather permits, you can have fun in the Amusement Park Divo-Ostrov on Krestovsky, Gagarin Park in the Moscow District or the Park of Fairy Tales in the Babushkin Park.
And for those who are not afraid of the winter cold, you can safely go to the ski lodge outside the city. Tuutari Park, Zolotaya Dolina or Snezhniy are perfect, where you can ski, snowboard or cheesecake down the high slides all day, and then warm up with hot tea in a nearby cafe.
