We all know well the words and the meaning of the proverb "it's good where we are not." However, it is not very relevant in relation to such a wonderful country as Slovakia, which has now become very popular among those Russians who plan to go abroad for permanent residence.
What caused this choice? There are a number of advantages and various disadvantages of long-term residence in Slovakia, which we will now try to list.
It is impossible not to mention the opportunity to get a free education, which, by the way, is quoted in Europe, there are very loyal mortgage programs, high-quality medical care, low food prices. It is also worth noting the excellent infrastructure of Slovak cities, the popularity of tourism, frequent concerts with the participation of stars of the world music and theater scene, and the development of Internet sales. And, of course, one cannot pass by the amazingly beautiful Slovak nature.
But don't think that we are describing an ideal country. Slovakia has its drawbacks, and among them we include paid and compulsory health insurance, quite expensive mobile communications, the existence of a law on foreigners restricting those in their rights, expensive utilities, a large number of people of Roma ethnicity and high gasoline prices. In addition, the special mentality of the Slovaks should be noted - they are very slow and do not mind postponing the resolution of any issues until tomorrow.
