The main botanical garden in Moscow is the largest botanical institution in Europe. It first opened its doors to visitors in 1945 and still receives several hundred tourists from April 29 to October 19.

Step 1
The Botanical Garden is open all days except Monday and Thursday. Here you can visit an arboretum of conifers and deciduous plants, a greenhouse and a Japanese garden. The working hours are different every day, so it is better to call the botanical garden and find out what excursions are planned for today and when.
Step 2
You can get to the botanical garden by metro, and then walk a little. Not far from the exit from the Vladykino station there is a small gate to enter the garden, and if you walk along Botanicheskaya street for about 20 minutes, you will see the main entrance to the garden. You can also get to the Botanichesky Sad metro station, from which it is literally 300 meters to the park, but also not to the main entrance, but to one of the side gates.
Step 3
You can get to the main entrance to the garden by buses No. 24 (from the Trubnaya metro station), No. 76, 85 (from the Alekseevskaya or Rizhsky Vokzal metro stations) and No. 803 (from the VDNKh metro station), by minibuses №№24m, 258m, 373m, as well as trolleybuses №№36 and 73 (from the metro station "Altufevo"). The stop at which you need to get off is called the "Main entrance of the botanical garden".
Step 4
To get to Botanicheskiy Sad by car, you need to get to the Marfino area along the A104 highway. Here is the "Botanical Garden" at Botanicheskaya street, building 4.
