It is advisable to start exploring the country from the capital, in addition, most flights from Russia arrive here. Tbilisi is a city that evokes different emotions. On the one hand, this is typical Georgia with its hospitality and traditions, on the other, an almost European city with free morals. Depending on your emotions, it can take from a couple of days to a week to explore and get to know the city.
In two or three days, you can have time to visit the main museums, ride the funicular, eat at the most popular restaurants, walk along the narrow streets and enjoy the evening view and atmosphere.
No matter how good Tbilisi is, the real authentic Georgia still begins outside the capital. To plan your trip, it is best to mark in advance the cities and places you want to visit and then plan a route. But keep in mind that Georgia is unpredictable, somewhere you may like it so much that you will stay there longer than planned.
Mtskheta
The ancient capital of Georgia. Now it is a small town with a lot of expensive cars. And the famous monastery on the mountain, from where you can see the confluence of two rivers. In Mtskheta, you can feel amazing calmness and tranquility, and if you are very tired, then you can stay there for a couple of days.
Kutaisi
In the vicinity of the city there are natural beauties: canyons and caves, which can be viewed in one day, while staying in Kutaisi.
Borjomi
The resort with mineral springs loved by pensioners. They are accompanied by natural beauty, fresh fruit, homemade wine.
Batumi

Tusheti
Mountain region where the film "Mimino" was filmed. This is for thrill-seekers, as the so-called "road of death" leads to Tusheti, and you can get there only by a powerful jeep, and only a few months a year. But you will see untouched nature.
Svaneti
This is the most isolated part of the country, located in the mountains. Nature, stunning in its beauty, proud people with their own traditions. It is best to go there not by a rented car, but by public transport or with a taxi driver. From the city of Mestia, you can take an excursion to Ushguli, the highest mountain settlement in Georgia.
Kazbegi
The easiest way is to come to the village of Stepatsminda, and from there to rent a jeep with a driver, and ride to the Truso gorge, the Juta valley, to waterfalls and other beautiful places. Lovers of mountain trekking and mountaineering will also have something to do.
These are the main sights, but it is impossible to see Georgia in one go, you definitely need to come back here again and again.
