One of the popular summer activities is a river cruise on a motor ship. From year to year, ships ply the waters. Tourists will learn something new about the local nature. But if you do not have enough funds for this kind of entertainment, you should not despair. An excellent alternative to a river cruise would be rafting down the river on a homemade raft. This is more romance than sailing on a boat. However, the raft should not be too bulky and heavy to carry it to the river and launch it. The ideal option would be a raft made of plastic bottles.

It is necessary

  • - ten five-liter bottles;
  • - waterproof tape;
  • - ten two-liter bottles;
  • - tight bag;
  • - four boards;
  • - rope.

Instructions

Step 1

Take ten five-liter bottles and glue them in a row with waterproof tape. It is necessary to glue, carefully wrapping each bottle. This will give the proper strength to your structure. The tape must be exactly waterproof. Otherwise, the raft will fall apart very quickly. Repeat this procedure. As a result, you should have two rows of tightly sealed bottles. Then you should glue these two rows well. Do not feel sorry for the tape, the stronger the structure, the safer.

Step 2

Next, you need two-liter bottles. Take ten bottles and glue them in one row, just like 5 liter bottles. Sixteen such rows need to be made.

Step 3

You need to take a tight bag (a plastic bag is ideal) and place four rows of glued two-liter bottles in it. You need to prepare four of these bags. Each must be tightly wrapped with tape. It is highly undesirable to use cloth bags. They get wet quite quickly and become heavy, which adversely affects the stability of the raft.

Step 4

Next, you need to take four boards. Punch them together to make a square. This structure will be the skeleton of the future raft. On each side of it, you must attach a bag with bottles that were prepared earlier. To attach the bags to a wooden frame, you need to use ropes and tape. The bag is best tied crosswise with a string, and then taped to maximize strength.

Step 5

In the middle of the wooden frame, you must place the previously prepared rows of five-liter bottles. They also need to be well taped to the planks and your raft is ready. It remains only to launch it into the water.
