Anyone who is planning a trip to Europe should first of all take care of drawing up a document that will help to cross the border. Such a document is a Schengen visa. If you do not pay enough attention to this document, then instead of a pleasant trip and vivid impressions of the trip, you can get bitter disappointment. Without a properly issued Schengen visa, it is impossible to enter the countries of the European Union.
Instructions
Step 1
To obtain a Schengen visa, you must provide the following documents:
1. A valid travel document (passport);
2.1 photo 37x47 mm in size on a gray background, while the size of the head must be at least 30 mm horizontally
3. A questionnaire completed in one copy on a typewriter, computer, or by hand, neatly and in block letters. The application form must be signed by the applicant personally. The visa application form is filled in in Latin letters. Recently, it became possible to fill out a visa application form via the Internet.
4. Insurance policy for those traveling abroad, the validity of which must begin on the day of submission of all documents and end on the day before which the visa is issued.
5. Documents or relevant information on which the conditions and purpose of the trip are justified. The purpose of the trip is proved, for example, by means of an invitation. Purpose from booking or employer's cover letter.
6. Old international passport, if you can see marks on travel abroad.
7. A birth certificate must be attached to the application of a minor applicant, a copy of which must be made in advance. If a minor applicant is traveling alone or with one parent, a written permission for the trip of the second parent / parents or guardian is required, or, if it is impossible to obtain it, documents confirming the reason for the lack of permission (certificate of a single parent or other documents).
Step 2
All documents must be submitted to the visa department of the consulate.
Step 3
You need to pay the cost of the visa at one of the branches of the bank within two days after submitting the documents.
Step 4
When the submitted documents are executed correctly, the consular officer takes all your documents (passport, questionnaire and voucher from the medical insurance policy) and gives you in return a receipt for the payment of the consular fee, consisting of two white and yellow pieces of paper. Do not sow them, as they will be useful for you to pay the consular fee and get your passport back with a visa.
