If you plan to stay in Bali, you should apply for a visa with a longer validity period. For example, a social visa is valid for 50 days. However, you will have to pay extra for each renewal. Then you can fly to your home country to apply for a new social visa again or get a regular one - Visa run - for permanently residing Europeans in Bali.

Business visas and work visas (KITAS) are valid for one year. A large package of documents will be required for their registration. In addition, the correct application of visas in Indonesia is monitored quite strictly. If the visa regime is violated, you face deportation for up to two years, and it is better not to try to deceive the law enforcement agencies, and it will not work. This is due to the fact that local residents personally monitor any manifestations of commercial activities of foreigners. They don't need extra competition. And if you are invited to work, or you want to work without a work visa, you will be quickly reported to the authorities.

Buying real estate in this country does not entitle you to permanent residence. All owners of any property are issued permission to stay in the country for only one year. At the end of the specified period, this permit must be renewed, for which you will have to pay.

If you want to take your parents with you, then people over the age of 55 can apply for a retirement visa. However, there are a number of requirements that may seem impracticable, for example, the presence of three peculiar “guardians” from among the local residents, although in practice the authorities pay little attention to this.
