In this document, it is necessary to provide information about the person himself, the purpose of his trip to the Russian Federation, as well as the length of stay in Russia. The form of the invitation differs depending on the type of visa.

Step 1
Determine for what purpose a foreign citizen is going to visit the Russian Federation, what is the duration of his trip, how often he needs to cross the border of the country. Invitations are subdivided into business, travel and guest invitations.
Step 2
When inviting a foreign citizen to visit you, you must issue a guest invitation. To do this, contact the FMS at the place of your registration, where they will help you fill out the required application. Please note that you must be the owner of the home in which the foreigner is planning to live. Specify exactly the details of the invited person, his place of stay in Russia, the purpose, duration, dates of the trip. The issuance of such an invitation takes 30 calendar days.
Step 3
When issuing a guest invitation, you need to have a copy of the foreign citizen's passport and a completed application with you. The questionnaire is filled out exclusively in Russian.
Step 4
When the invitation is ready, it will be sent to the foreigner in the original. He must independently apply to the Consulate of the Russian Federation on the territory of his country to apply for a guest visa. You will need to provide the required package of documents and pay the fee. The set of documents may differ significantly in different countries, as well as the amount of the fee.
Step 5
Only travel companies have the right to issue a tourist invitation. On their own behalf, they draw up this document containing all the necessary information, send it to the foreigner by mail or fax. It usually takes 24 hours to issue such an invitation. After receiving the invitation, the citizen goes to the Consulate for a tourist visa.
Step 6
Business invitations are issued only by legal entities accredited by the relevant body. They carry out this procedure through the FMS or the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
