Instructions

Step 1

The embassy must provide:

Foreign passport, valid for at least 3 months from the date of return from the trip. A passport without the owner's signature is not accepted!

Step 2

A photocopy of the internal passport (the main page and the page with the place of registration). If the address of the place of registration does not coincide with the address of actual residence, you must attach a photocopy of the registration at the place of residence.

Completed visa application form.

Two color photographs 45 X 35mm on a white or light gray background without a white corner, taken no more than 6 months ago. Photos with glasses and hats are not allowed.

Confirmation of hotel reservation in Latvia. The Latvian Embassy does not accept bookings made through booking.com

Certificate from the place of work on the letterhead of the organization indicating the position and average monthly income. Individual Entrepreneurs need to provide a photocopy of the registration of an individual entrepreneur, a photocopy of registration with the tax authority, a photocopy of the declaration of income for the reporting period. For pensioners - a photocopy of the pension certificate. Students - a certificate from the place of study on the letterhead of the educational institution.

Non-working citizens (pensioners, students, etc.) must attach a certificate from the sponsor's place of work (on letterhead indicating the position and salary) and a sponsorship letter.

Step 8

It is advisable to provide proof of financial solvency for the period of stay in Latvia - a bank statement, savings books, traveler's checks or a certificate of currency exchange in the amount of at least 50 euros per day per person.

Step 9

Medical insurance policy for the duration of the trip.

Pay the state fee. The state duty for a single or double entry visa is 65 euros, for a multiple entry - 90 euros. For children from 6 to 12 years old - 35 euros.

Step 11

For tourists under 18:

A photocopy of the birth certificate.

If the child is traveling with one of the parents, it is necessary to provide a notarized power of attorney from the other parent.

If the child is traveling without parents, you will need a notarized power of attorney from both parents to the person accompanying the child.

The power of attorney must contain the following phrases:

- it is allowed to travel to the Schengen countries, including Latvia

- it is allowed to make any decisions related to the child's stay abroad. A photocopy of the main page of the internal passport of each parent must be attached to the power of attorney. The signature in the power of attorney must not differ from the signature in the internal passport.
